PCOD/PCOS Diet Plan — personalized Indian nutrition coaching with Dt. Alekhya

What is this service?

Personalized

Written after we hear your goals, kitchen, and routine — not a one-size chart.

Indian food friendly

Roti, rice, dal, and tiffins stay on the plate. Portions and swaps do the work.

Flexible

Work days, festivals, and travel are planned for. Strict elimination is not the default.

Expert guidance

Coaching with Dt. Alekhya. First consultation is free, in Hyderabad or online.

Is This Diet Plan Right for You?

A short check — if several of these fit, this program is likely relevant.

Have a clinician diagnosis of PCOD or PCOS

Want Indian meals, not a long ban list

Need help with cravings and meal timing

Prefer vegetarian or mixed food

Are pairing food with gynaecology or endocrine care

Why Generic Diet Plans Often Don't Work

Most people do not fail because they lack willpower. The plan often does not match real life.

Keto-by-default advice

International PCOS guidance does not require keto for everyone. A pattern you can keep usually comes first.

Random elimination lists

Dairy-free or gluten-free is not mandatory for every person with PCOS unless you have a clinical reason.

Skipping meals then grazing

Long gaps and sugary drinks make energy crashes more likely. Regular protein-and-fibre plates are easier to live with.

No follow-up

Symptoms, medicines, and hunger change. A static “PCOS diet” PDF does not.

Your Diet Should Fit Your Life

The written plan is customized from five things we actually ask about — not a guess.

Your goals

Fat loss, hormones, glucose-aware eating, pregnancy, or recovery — we write to the goal you name.

Your food preferences

Vegetarian, vegan, Jain, egg, or non-vegetarian. We do not force foods you will not eat.

Your lifestyle

Family dinners, festivals, and eating out are planned, not ignored.

Your schedule

Office tiffins, shift work, and travel get swaps so the plan can be followed on a Tuesday.

Your progress

Follow-ups adjust portions when hunger, energy, or reports change.

  3. 03

    Get your personalized plan

You receive a written Indian meal plan with swaps for home, tiffin, and eating out.

  4. 04

    Track and adjust

What Can You Eat?

Indian meals you already recognise. These are examples — your written plan is personal.

Indian breakfast plate as a stand-in for moong chilla

Breakfast

Moong chilla + chutney

A pulse-based breakfast with mint chutney. Eggs are an option if you eat them.

Indian lunch plate with dal and vegetables

Lunch

Roti + palak dal + sabzi

Cereal paired with dal, vegetables, salad, and unsweetened curd.

Roasted chickpeas and fruit snack

Snack

Roasted chana or fruit + almonds

A planned snack so tea and biscuits are not the only afternoon option.

Vegetable bowl with salad for an evening meal

Dinner

Millet or roti + dal + salad

A calmer evening plate. Portions are set after we hear your routine.

These are examples. Your actual plan is personalized to your requirements.

Nutrition Considerations for PCOS

Insulin helps move glucose from the blood into cells. In insulin resistance, the body needs more insulin to do that job. High insulin can worsen androgen-related symptoms for some people. Meals that combine carbohydrate with protein, fat, and fibre — and that avoid large sugary drinks — usually produce a gentler glucose rise than a large sweet snack on an empty stomach.

The 2023 international PCOS guideline does not require one named diet (keto, dairy-free, gluten-free) for everyone. It recommends a healthy eating pattern you can keep, a calorie deficit if weight loss is a shared goal, and physical activity as agreed with your clinician. ICMR–NIN guidelines still apply: vegetables, pulses, whole grains or millets, and limited ultra-processed food.

Supplements such as inositol are medical decisions. We do not start them on this website. Bring your prescription and lab reports to the consult so food timing can sit next to your doctor’s plan.

Frequently Asked Questions

Short answers first. Details match the rest of this page.

Frequently asked questions

Is PCOD the same as PCOS?

Clinicians often use the terms in overlapping ways. What matters for food is your actual diagnosis, labs, and medicines — not the label on a blog. Bring your reports to the consult.

Do I need a keto diet for PCOS?

No. The 2023 international guideline does not say everyone with PCOS must follow keto. A pattern you can keep, with enough protein and vegetables, is the usual starting point. We only use a more restricted pattern if you and your doctor agree it is appropriate.

Can diet reverse PCOS?

We do not claim reversal. Some people see better energy or weight with eating and activity changes. Medication, if prescribed, remains your doctor’s decision.

Will this plan make me pregnant?

No. Fertility care belongs with your gynaecologist or fertility specialist. Nutrition can support overall health; it is not fertility treatment.

How do I start?

Book a free consultation. After that you may choose Basic ₹999, Standard ₹1,999, or Platinum ₹2,999 per month. Payment is arranged on WhatsApp or email — not on this website.

How does the diet plan work?

After a free consultation we write a PCOD/PCOS diet plan around how you already eat. You then choose Basic, Standard, or Platinum for follow-ups. This website does not take card checkout. Learn more on the pricing page or book via the contact page.

Can I eat Indian food?

Yes. Plans are built around roti, rice, dal, sabzi, tiffins, and the food your household already cooks — vegetarian, mixed, or Jain when that is how you eat.

Can the plan be customized?

Yes. Goals, food preferences, work hours, travel, and reports you share all shape the written plan. It is not a generic PDF.

How often is the plan updated?

Basic: monthly. Standard: every two weeks. Platinum: weekly. Small WhatsApp tweaks can happen inside your support window during clinic hours.

Do you provide online consultations?

Yes. Sessions are in Miyapur, Hyderabad, or online across India. Hours are Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM. See the dietitian in Hyderabad page for local details.

Which plan should I choose?

Basic (₹999) is a monthly plan with one follow-up. Standard (₹1,999) adds bi-weekly updates, a therapeutic diet, and travel diet. Platinum (₹2,999) is weekly updates and unlimited WhatsApp during clinic hours. A free consult can help you pick.

Can I change my plan later?

Yes. Message us to move up a tier at the next billing point, or sooner if we agree an adjustment. There is no automatic upgrade.

Is this a replacement for medical treatment?

No. PCOS is diagnosed and treated by a clinician. We do not promise changes in cycles, fertility, acne, or weight. Food supports medical care; it does not replace it.

Clinicians often use the terms in overlapping ways. What matters for food is your actual diagnosis, labs, and medicines — not the label on a blog. Bring your reports to the consult.
